7/11/13 UPDATE:  If you earned an age-group award but have not yet claimed it, there is still opportunity to do so!  Remaining medals are available for pick-up now thru next Thurs., 7/18, at the East Anaheim Community Center at 8201 East Santa Ana Canyon Road, Anaheim, CA 92808 (near Pep Boys).  Please go to the reception desk at the center during their normal operating hours, which are as follows:

                                                  Monday-Thursday: 8 a.m. - 7 p.m.
                                                  Friday: 8 a.m. - 5.30 p.m.
                                                  Saturday: 7.30 a.m. - 5.00 p.m.

The Anaheim Hills Firecracker 5K/10K Run/Walk kicks off an entire day of Fourth of July festivities celebrating the birth of our great nation.  The day's events include a delicious pancake breakfast served immediately following the race, a Yankee Doodle Dog show, a 4th of July parade, and a food festival at Peralta Park culminating in a spectacular fireworks display.  For more information, visit

5:30 - 6:50 AM - Late registration / Packet pick-up (CHS athletic field)
6:50 AM - Race warmup (at start line on Santa Ana Cyn Rd)
6:55 AM - Opening ceremonies
7:00 AM - Start 5K/10 timed run & 5K untimed walk
9:00 AM - Toddler/Kids' 100-yd & 200-yd dash (CHS athletic field)
 - Special awards to first-, second-, and third-place overall male and female finishers in both the 5K and 10K timed runs.
- Custom-designed Firecracker age-group medals to the top three male and female 5K and 10K run winners in fifteen divisions:
 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+

- Custom-designed Firecracker dogtag finisher medals to first 1500 run/walk participants and all dash participants (must present bib to claim
- Medals to top three finishers, male and female, in both races to runners in active-duty military division.
