About 1,000 Mile Run
The 1,000 Mile Run is a charity that MyGradPad started to raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation. The Run is a weeklong event that takes place over the course of 1 week and includes hundreds of participants from around the country who collectively run 1,000 miles. An annual fundraiser hosted by MyGradPad, the goal is to raise as much money and awareness for Cancer Research as possible.
It was started in 2013, 35 runners participated. MyGradPad donated 5,000 dollars to the NYU Langone Cancer Center.
In 2014, MyGradPad chose to donate to the Make a Wish foundation in honor of Kerri Holbrook, a MyGradPad Brand Ambassador, who passed away due to thyroid cancer. 80 runners participated in the charity event.
This year in 2015, we are hoping to have 300 people involved in the event and we are introducing a 5K to kick-start the event.
All funds raised will be donated to the Make a Wish Foundation.
