Charles River Center VIRTUAL 5K Run/1Mile Walk

Thank you for supporting my past fundraising walk efforts for Charles River Center, where I live and work.

Because of the pandemic, this year Charles River is having a VIRTUAL 5K Run/1 Mile Walk, with participants doing their walk or run anywhere they like between Sept. 20-27. I will be doing my walk with my family. I hope you will again support me and Charles River by making a donation.

Charles River has worked hard to keep the residents, day program clients & staff safe during the lockdown. This has cost them a lot of money and many other fundraising events, like the Gala & golf tournaments, have been cancelled. So, please help us now.

About Charles River Center VIRTUAL 5K Run/1Mile Walk
In an effort to adhere to social distancing measures while keeping the tradition alive for the 10th annual Charles River Center 5K Run/1Mile Walk, we are taking this year's event virtual from September 20th-September 27th, 2020. The Charles River Center is a nonprofit social service agency that has been providing advocacy and a variety of services to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families since 1956. Our mission is to empower and support people with developmental disabilities by offering high-quality, individualized opportunities that foster independence and community inclusion. We currently serve more than 950 children and adults with developmental disabilities such Down syndrome, autism and cerebral palsy. Our organization operates 26 group homes and apartments, provides day programs for those with significant needs, offers vacation and after school programs for children, and provides vocational training and job placement. Charles River serves individuals in Needham, Newton, Wellesley, Dedham, Natick, Framingham and beyond.
