About Women\'s Fund
The Women's Fund of Southeastern MA raises funds and takes collaborative action so that all women in the region have strong opportunities to earn a living wage. The mission of the Women’s Fund is to advance the educational attainment and economic security of women and girls in Southeastern Massachusetts.
The Women’s Fund began in 2001 with a donation to the Community Foundation of Southeastern Massachusetts (CFSEMA) by Judge Bettina Borders. Her vision was to create a resource so that women and girls could overcome economic and social barriers to education and self-sufficiency. Since 2005, we have raised and directly awarded $800,000 to build pathways for women and girls to economic independence.and leveraged an additional $600,000 in women's philanthropy for women and girls, totaling over $1.4 million.
In its 10th year, the Women's Fund Tiara 5K is the largest fundraiser for the Women's Fund and attracts more than 1,200 registrants each year. The success of the Women's Fund Tiara 5K is critical to the growth of the Women's Fund and our ability to support our mission.
