Let's do what we can for our Veterans & their Families!
The funds raised by the Elks Care Elks Share 5K go directly to Military Families. The Fisher House Boston Foundation s a home away from home where our military families can stay while a loved one is receiving in-house treatment at one of our medical centers. Any veteran or military personnel, wartime or peacetime, is eligible to have a family member stay at a Fisher House. The homes enable family members to be close to loved ones at the most stressful times. For those families receiving treatment at one of our world renown Boston Hospitals, we will place you in a four star hotel conveniently located next to your loved ones facility at no cost to you (room, tax and parking). A portion of the proceeds will also go to our Oil for Vets fund which provides heat at no cost to Veterans and their families.
We recognize, not only the special sacrifices made by our men and women who serve in uniform, but also their loved ones. There is NO Charge for any family from the Fisher House or from our Oil for Vets Fund.
