Race Description
On November 3, 2013, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts will host its 2nd Annual 5K walk+run at its Hingham facility. This event is open to all associates, their families and friends and will be a great chance for you to have fun, get fit, and give back to the community. Race details are as follows, and I encourage you to join us for a great family day out to benefit a great cause!

Schedule
10:00 AM - Check-in
11:00 AM - 5K begins
11:45 AM - Rolling lunch
12:30 PM - Award Ceremony
02:00 PM - Conclusion
There will be activities for children and the young-at-heart throughout the day, including face painting, beanbag toss, and more.

If this is your first Team Blue event, you will earn a Healthy Blue credit that will count as one of your two 2013 Healthy Blue goals.
I acknowledge that: (i) by participating in the BCBSMA Road Race (the �Event�), I will not be supervised in any way by BCBSMA and its affiliates, Dave McGillivray Sports Enterprises Inc., or sponsors, coordinating groups, promoters, volunteers, or any individuals associated or affiliated in any way with the sponsorship, promotion, or execution of the Event (hereinafter collectively referred to as �Releasees�); (ii) Releasees have no particular expertise or opportunity to control the hazards associated with a road race of this type; (iii) I understand and am aware that aerobic exercise and strenuous, physical activity are potentially hazardous activities; (iv) I have no physical or medical condition that, to my knowledge, would endanger others or me if I participate in the Event; (v) I have either had a physical examination and been given my physician�s permission to participate, or I have decided to participate in this Event without the approval of my physician; (vi) I assume all risk associated with running in this Event, including, but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather including high heat or humidity, traffic, the conditions of the road, and the possibility of serious physical and/or mental trauma or injury, including permanent disability and death, all such risks being known and appreciated by me; and (vii) my participation in the Event is purely voluntary and BCBSMA has not compelled or coerced me to participate in the Event in any fashion.
In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Event, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives, assignees, and successors in interest (collectively �Successors�), I hereby release, discharge, hold harmless and promise to indemnify the Releasees, their employees and agents, and each of their representatives, successors, heirs, and assigns, from and against all rights, claims, charges, complaints, promises, agreements, causes of action, damages, or debts (together, �Claims�), including but not limited to Claims arising directly or indirectly from the Releasees� own negligence, which I have or which may hereafter accrue to me that relate in any manner to my participation in the Event.
