CUMBERLANDFEST 2017 5K
Cumberlandfest 2017 5 K Road Race is in its 27th year. Proceeds benefit the Cumberland Youth Athletic Council for the purpose of funding youth sports in the town of Cumberland. The race is part of a three day festival which includes a midway with rides, arts and crafts, food court, live entertainment and fire works.
Awards are in the Junior Category Boys and Girls (under 15), Intermediate (15-17), Open Men and Women (18-39), Master (40-49), Sr. Master (50-59), veteran (60 & up) and the first Cumberland resident. T-shirts to the first 100 entrants, trophy to 1st place in each category with merchandise prize, and a raffle drawing for other prizes. The course is out and back with a hill .5 into the race. Police and rescue will escort the runners and provide assistance. Water stop at 2 miles and refreshments after the race. Parking is on the grounds of Diamond Hill Park on diamond Hill, road inn Cumberland, R.I.
