Operation Restart 10K/5K and Mini Patriot Mile

I understand that running a road race could be potentially harmful to my health. I could run and trip over a pebble or a shoelace, I could slam into a water cup, or I could be hit by a car, or a tractor...which could cause significant harm to me or even my death. I understand there are some risks associated with running or walking in a road race that could lead to my injury or death, but I’m ok with that. I also admit to being properly trained to run or walk in this race, that I am physically, medically and mentally able to handle the rigors of road racing. I understand that my participation in the race is ultimately up to the race officials and will abide by their decision for my involvement in the event including, possibly, but hopefully not, me not participating in the event. I also assume the risks associated with running including inclement weather, hail, snowballs, high heat and humidity, traffic, and poor road conditions. I also understand that bicycles, skateboards, rollerskates, rollerblades and hoverboards are not permitted in this event. Pets are not permitted on the race course. I acknowledge that I read this waiver, understood this waiver and agree to all stipulations mentioned in this waiver. I also agree to abide by all race rules and will hold harmless at all times Vets 4 Veterans, AV Mall, Operation Restart 10k/5k and Mini Patriot Mile, and all vendors and sponsors of the event even though liability may have been caused by the above mentioned. I give permission to the preceding to use video, pictures or recordings of me in the promotion of any legitimate purpose.
