Event Information
WE'RE BACK! and for TWO NIGHTS!
After 3 years without a Glowtide Run we return with TWO fun runs: one on Monday, Christmas Evening, and by popular demand, we will do it all again the next night after Christmas on Tuesday, Boxing Day. That's right, come run one or both evenings if you like. Be there to celebrate the season!
Glow Necklaces to All Participants at the Best Night Fun Run in LA!!
Run, walk, or baby jog along the sea under the FULL MOON! Celebrate the holidays at the most unusual running event in LA. The entire course will be lit by glow sticks to guide you. Bring the whole family, then stay and play at the many fine bars and restaurants in downtown Manhattan Beach. You won't find anything else like it!
Glow Necklaces and Beachy T-Shirts
guaranteed to all pre-registered runners and to late registrants while supplies last.
Unique Wooly Beanies
While this is a fun run, we will award our famous Wooly Beanies to the top 10 men and women across the line, AND to anyone else we feel like after that while supplies last. Be nice for Santa!

Course Description
The GlowTide 5K starts and finishes under the Holiday lights of the Manhattan Beach Pier. Race out and back north to the jetty at 45th Street. The miles are marked and "kick" markers from 400m to go guarantee your best finish. The super low tide creates a perfect running surface of hard packed sand like a dirt road so running with or without shoes is an option (the faster athletes tend to wear shoes). One can even wear track spikes! Baby joggers work great and are encouraged as the kids love being that close to the sea.
Directions and Parking
405 to Rosecrans west. South on Sepulveda (Pacific Coast Highway) to Manhattan Beach Blvd. West to the ocean. Parking in lots at Manhattan Pier, & lot and structure at Highland and 12th. Bring quarters for the meters!
