Halfway to St. Patrick's Day 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run
It's almost St. Patrick's Day . . . well almost halfway there! Come join the Virginia Irish Dance Association for their 5K race and 1 Mile Fun Run to celebrate. The course is USATF certified (VA24018RT) and will be timed electronically.
The race begins and ends at O'Brien's Irish Pub in Warrenton. O'Brien's is hosting a Halfway Festival afterwards so you can enjoy live Irish music and dancing, bangers and mash and other Irish food, as well as a pint if it's your fancy!
WALK UP REGISTRATIONS AVAILABLE AT O'BRIEN'S IRISH PUB ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20 FROM NOON TO 2 PM AND 6 TO 8 PM OR ON RACE DAY STARTING AT 6:30 AM.
Pre-registered runners will receive a Halfway to St. Patrick's Day performance shirt. (Late registrations and walk-up runners will receive a shirt if available.)
Both the 1 Mile Fun Run and the 5K start at 7:30 am.
Cash prizes will be awarded to runners in the 5K: the top 3 male and female finishers. Plus medals to the top 3 female and male finishers in age groups. Special prizes including: first runner with a stroller to finish, best-dressed leprechaun, first runner to finish wearing a kilt, and more!
Registration deadlines -- 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run:
** Early Bird (shirt included) -- now through September 1 -- $35 (5K) and $17 (1M)
** Regular (shirt included) -- September 2-15 -- $40 and $20
** Late (shirt if available) -- September 16-20 -- $45 and $22
** Day of race (shirt if available) -- $50 and $25

Packet Pickup
You can pick up your race packet, including your bib and shirt, on Friday from 12-2 pm or 6-8 pm at O'Brien's Irish Pub, 380 Broadview Ave, Warrenton, VA. On race day, we'll open the registration table at 6:30 am with the races -- both the 5K and the 1-Mile Run -- starting at 7:30 am.
There will be plenty of parking at O'Brien's on race day. In addition, O'Brien's will have food for sale immediately after the race, and they are hosting a Halfway Festival starting at 10 am with food, drink, and vendors.
* Friday, Sept. 20 -- packet pickup at O'Brien's from noon to 2 pm and 6 to 8 pm
* Saturday, Sept. 21 -- on-site registration and packet pickup at O'Brien's at 6:30 am
* Race starts at 7:30 am followed immediately by awards and raffles
A reminder the race is being run through neighborhoods and there could be light traffic. Please use caution and be aware of vehicles on the road and coming out of driveways. Race marshals will be on the course periodically in addition to road signs and markings on the road with directions. There will be a water station at the .75 mile mark, and you'll pass it again at the approx. 2.25 mile mark.
