Runners must buy their shirt by May 17th, 2017, in order to be guaranteed the desired size on race day. Orders may be placed after this date, however sizes cannot be guaranteed. The cost of a shirt is $12. We will do our best to forecast the number of shirts needed after 5/17. Shirts must be claimed by a runner or their designee at one of the pre-race packet pickups or before 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2017. Shirts not claimed after this time will be forfeited. Refund Policy and Refund Option
We offer a flexible refund policy. Your best option is to purchase the Refund Option when you register. It is a set amount, and can be exercised anytime prior to the start of the race. The Refund Option is like buying registration insurance that protects you from unexpected events. We realize that life happens and sometimes it\'s not possible or advisable for runners to participate in a race. Sometimes runners suffer injuries while training, learn that they\'re pregnant, get called to perform military duty, lose a job, or must attend to a family emergency. Sometimes races get cancelled due to acts of God.
Refund Option Rules:
If you purchase the Refund Option at the time of registration, you can request a refund anytime prior to the start of the race. Requests for refunds must be made by completing the form on the Refunds & Deferrals page of our website. If the race is cancelled, you may request a refund only if you purchased the refund option at the time of registration. Refunds will be credited to the credit card used for registration.
If you do not purchase the Refund Option when you register, we will refund partial amounts through 11:59pm EST on June 11, 2017. You need to use the form on the Refunds & Deferrals page of our website to request the refund.
All refunds will be processed through Race Wire, our online registration company. No cash or checks will be sent.

Cancellation Policy
Although rare sometimes races must be cancelled due to unexpected unsafe race conditions – i.e. Hurricane Irene in 2011 and Hurricane Sandy in 2012. If there is an event due to an Act Of God — i.e. hurricane, lightning, dangerously high heat and humidity (Wet-bulb globe temperature index >82 degrees F — government shutdown, or a state of emergency is declared by municipal authorities the race will be cancelled. If the race is cancelled due to a situation that is beyond the race director’s control it will not be postponed and no refunds will be given.
Chip Timing
A disposable timing chip will be attached to the back of each person's race bib. Please do not remove or fold the timing chip. The timing company will send you a text message and email after the race with your race results. When you register please be sure to include your cell phone number and email address. Your bib needs to be worn on your front, so that the timing company can see it clearly at all split points and the finish. This is used as a backup, in the event that your chip doesn't function properly.
Wave Start
A Wave Start process will again be used to facilitate a more efficient and convenient race day experience for all participants. This process is necessary because a large field of runners is anticipated and due to the presence of bottlenecks on the course. During the registration process half marathon runners will be asked to submit their expected pace. Every runner will be assigned a start wave before the race. Your bib will be color coded either green or orange to indicate which of the two waves you are stating in. Wave Two will start approximately 3 to 4 minutes after Wave One. A start mat will be used to keep track of the precise moment that each person crosses the start line and to calculate their total time.
Locker rentals
Store your belongings safely and access them easily anytime before and after the race. The affordable locker rentals are $10 for 12”x12”x12” locker. They will be conveniently parked near the finish line for you!
