Event Information
About This Event
In January 2016, the American Cancer Society announced that Pancreatic Cancer had surpassed Breast Cancer and is now the 3rd leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the US. In 2015, close to 50,000 Americans were diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer, and just over 40,000 Americans died from it. In 2008, 5% of diagnosed patients lived beyond a year, now the average is 7.2% past 5 years. Progress is being made, but more can be done. By the time Pancreatic Cancer is discovered in most patients, it is too late. How can this be changed?
