About the Race
Come join us for the 4th Annual Halfway to Dot Day 5k Road Race on Saturday December 8th, 2018! This is a family friendly run for all ages and abilities along the paths of DCR’s Pope John Paul Park in Dorchester and is certified and sanctioned by USA Track and Field – New England.
The shotgun start is at 9am. After the race please join us for the Mayor’s Toy Drive and Breakfast at Florian Hall - all youth under 12 who donate a toy are registered at no cost. Registration for adults and teenagers is just $20.
Halfway to Dot Day Shirts and Ornaments
All registrants will receive a long-sleeve shirt and finishers will receive a handmade, one-of-a-kind holiday ornament!

Course
Fast and flat 5 km inside of PJP II Park. Runners will pass by festively decorated water tables and carolers along the way.
Bib Pick-Up
Bib Packets will be available for EARLY PICK-UP on
Friday December 7th from 4:00-8:00 pm at TBD
Participants may also pick up their packets at Florian Hall Saturday morning beginning at 7:30am.
Registration will be available at early-pick up as well as the morning of the race (until 8:30 am) until we are full.
Parking
Parking is available at the Walgreens Parking Lot (757 Gallivan Boulevard) and adjacent streets in the area. “Candy Cane Lane” will safely and quickly lead you from Walgreens through the park to the starting line. There is no parking at Florian Hall and very limited parking in the McKeon Post parking lot.

Refunds
We appreciate and understand that unexpected circumstances present themselves constantly. However, if you have registered for the race and are unable to attend, we kindly request that your race fee be considered a donation as this event is a fundraiser for our local community, and our success is extremely reliant upon the number of registered runners. As always, we are so grateful for your support!
In the event of cancellation due to extreme weather
If the race is cancelled due to extreme weather we will not be rescheduling it and will not be providing refunds. We all assume the financial risk together and should there be any profits after our expenses are paid, those profits will be donated to charity.
By signing this form, I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors and assigns, (or in the same manner on behalf of my participating child or ward) do release Dorchester Running Club,, the USATF, all sponsors and their agents or employees from any and all responsibility for any injury or damage sustained arising in any way from participating in or attending the above event. I also represent that I am (or my child or ward is) in good health and adequately trained for the event entered. I grant full permission for the use of my child’s or ward’s name or likeness to report or promote this or subsequent events in any media including photographs, video or other recording devices. Entry fees are non-refundable. Every effort is made to honor shirt size selection, but exact shirts sizes cannot be guaranteed.
