Neighbor Brigade Run or Walk Mercer

Neighbor Brigade Run or Walk Road Race Waiver I understand and agree that: (1) While Mercer may sponsor athletic events for participation by its employees, former employees, temporary workers assigned to Mercer, and employees of Transamerica, this sponsorship is limited to providing certain uniforms, equipment, and similar financial support and my participation is entirely voluntary as a recreational activity during non-business hours. My participation is neither required nor encouraged as a condition of my employment with Mercer (for Mercer employees), Transamerica (for Transamerica employees), or my temporary agency (for temporary workers). I acknowledge and understand that these athletic activities are not a business function of Mercer (or Transamerica or any temporary agency), and my participation does not in any give rise to an employment relationship with Mercer or Transamerica. (2) I will not participate in any sport for which I am not properly physically conditioned and equipped with proper protective equipment. (3) In participating in any athletic event sponsored by Mercer and at Mercer facilities, I will conduct myself in compliance with the rules of the sport being played and according to principles of good sportsmanship. (4) There is a risk of illness or injury in any sports activity and if I should be ill or injured while participating at a Mercer-sponsored event at Mercer facilities or engaging in any activity or travel with respect to that event, this will not be an illness or injury incurred in the course of my employment (whether with Mercer, Transamerica or a temporary agency), and I release and will not make any claim against Mercer and/or Transamerica, The Town of Norwood, CFRI/CQ Norwood Uplands, LLC, Campanelli Associates Management Corporation, Universal Technical Institute Corporation, my current employer, or any of their affiliates, agents, contractors or any officer, director or employee of either of them, on account of that illness or injury or my participation on or activity or travel with respect to the event. I have read this document and I understand that it is a Binding Waiver of any right to seek recovery for illness or injury. I understand the $35 donation is non-refundable and will be given to Neighbor Brigade. SecureFee™ Registration Cancellation Insurance is offered in most states.
