About This Event
The Annual Running Out Of Summer 5K held by Rapscallion Brewery benefits Spencer Parks & Rec and Second Chance Animal Services. Join us for a scenic and fast course along the Spencer Rail Trail followed by food, drinks, and fun at O'Gara Park! Post-race party at Rapscallion Brewery & Taproom.
All entrants will receive a custom gender-specific super soft shirt (If registered by August 1), bottle opener finisher medal, and drink token for any draught (beer, spiked sparkling water, or homemade root beer) at any Rapscallion location at any time! In addition, there will be awards for overall and age group winners.

About Second Chance Animal Shelter & Wellness Clinic
Second Chance Animal Services is a nonprofit animal welfare organization founded in 1999. Second Chance began as an animal shelter and grew to help more pets in need. Today SCAS operates three Community Veterinary Hospitals in North Brookfield, Springfield, and Worcester providing access to the highest-quality veterinary care for all. Subsidized rates are provided to underserved communities to ensure access to care for all pets in need. Second Chance helps over 40,000 pets a year through full-service veterinary care, spay/neuter services, adoption services, community & educational outreach programs, training, and a pet food pantry. About Spencer Parks & Rec
The Spencer Parks & Recreation Commission is an all-volunteer board whose mission is to serve the recreational needs of Spencer residents. The Commission's primary responsibilities consist overseeing maintenance of the communities town-owned parks and recreation facilities, including grounds, roads, parking areas, grandstands, buildings, monuments, playground equipment, and safety equipment. They also develop and supervise recreational programs, including swimming lessons, beach safety, summer recreation for children, holiday parties, dances, and other events.
