Seacoast Running Festival

INDEMNIFICATION AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY I know that running a road race is potentially hazardous activity, which could cause injury or death. I will not enter and participate in the Seacoast Running Festival Event unless I am medically able and properly trained, and by my signature, I certify that I am medically able to perform this event, and am in good health, and I am properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to any aspect of my participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever. I attest that I have read the rules of the race and agree to abide by them. I assume all risks associated with running in this event, including but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I understand that bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers, roller skates or roller blades, animals, and personal music players are not allowed in the race and I will abide by all race rules. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and inconsideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and for my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns and any other person or entity entitled to act on my behalf, to the fullest extent permitted by law, do by the execution of this Indemnification and Release of Liability, hereby voluntarily agree to release, indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Seacoast Running Festival, Walls Ford, __________________________and all other event sponsors, and their officers, directors, shareholders, members, managers, employees, servants, agents, representatives, volunteers, successors, and assigns (the Released Persons), from and against any and all claims, causes of action, damages, suits, losses, costs, or expenses, (including costs, expenses and reasonable attorney fees on account thereof) for property damage, personal injury, or otherwise, including without limitation wrongful death, relating to or arising out of my participation in the event, whether the same be caused in whole or in part by the negligence of any of the Released Persons, co-participants, or any third party. Additionally, if I am a parent or legal guardian of a participant under the age of 18, I hereby agree for myself and on behalf said participant to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Indemnification and Release of Liability. In doing so, I hereby waive any and all claims that could be asserted by the minor participant, and claims that could be raised by me as the parent or legal guardian of the minor participant. The undersigned acknowledges that he/she has read the foregoing paragraphs, has been fully and completely advised of the potential dangers incidental to engaging in the Seacoast Running Festival Event, and that this Indemnification and Release of Liability is executed with full understanding and knowledge of its content and legal effect, and the undersigned participant freely and voluntarily assumes the risk of participation in the event by agreeing to this provision.
