Samaritans 2nd Annual walk for Hope
Join the Samaritans of Merrimack Valley as we host the second annual Walk for Hope to promote suicide awareness and show support for those impacted by suicide and mental health challenges.
The Samaritans of Merrimack Valley, a program of Family Services of the Merrimack Valley, was founded in 1980. Samaritans of Merrimack Valley are the only suicide prevention and postvention center serving the northeast region of Massachusetts. We strive to reduce the incidence of suicide in the Merrimack Valley and beyond by providing "befriending" to individuals who are lonely, depressed, and contemplating suicide or self-injury through their 24/7 toll-free crisis helpline. Samaritans also offers numerous trainings and workshops to meet the needs of the community. They also provide support services for suicide loss survivors and suicide attempt survivors.
Music will be provided by Irish singer Mossie Coughlan.
